LIFESTYLE | Self care Ideas for the Women Who Does It All

Hey Guys!

I know you’re all busy people balancing a full-time job, multiple side hustles, family, kids, a dog and friends. With so much on your plate, how to do you find time for yourself? Most of the time you don’t! This is a friendly reminder TO GIVE YOURSELF A BREAK because if you’re burnt out you’re not going to be really useful for anyone else either. Here are some simple ways to practice self care.

1.BUY A PS5 or XBOX. It’s sounds a little crazy but you need to trust me on this one. It’s an up front investment like stocks for your time. Pay $700 but you get all the time in the world because those kids and husband will leave you alone for months now. With all that time you can use it for all of your self-care’s hearts content.

P.S. most people think game are bad but it’s a great mindless way for adults to decompress or children to learn strategy and teamwork.

2. A DO NOTHING DAY. F it and do nothing. Tell the kids/ husband/boyfriend that they’re not allow to touch the Playstation until they finish all the laundry, dishes, and order some take out. Meanwhile, while they’re figuring that out, lock yourself in the room, turn on some Netflix, apply a face mask and grab a glass of wine. Sometimes the best way to decompress is to have no plans or errands.

3. EUCALYPTUS SHOWER. One of the most relaxing things to do is run the hot water and take a eucalyptus shower. As I’m washing my hair, in my thoughts and ignoring the outside world here is where I find the most peace. I know some of you have kids so this might be a quick silent hide away.

4. HIKE OR DOG PARK. There is something about being outside with man’s best friend that’s so satisfying. When I’m outside my mind wanders as I’m spending time with my puppy.

5. COOKING & TV. I don’t usually cook full on meals because I’m always so busy but every once in a while turn on Netflix and do some mindless cooking. Of course I eat ahead of this but there’ s just something about peeling potatoes and trashy reality tv that relaxes me.

P.S. I hope this gives you some inspiration for some much needed self-care. REMEMBER TAKING CARE OF YOURSELF IS NOT SELFISH IT’S SELFLESS.
